The Event Director(s) for this event are Jan Sundberg and Dave “Falcon” Fusinato. Dave, who’s been flying turbine powered craft since the 1990’s. A legend in jet construction and a cornerstone to Team Hunter. with Jan Sundberg taking the helm on this mission. Both are members of the Clovis Area Modelers. Jan, has excelled rapidly into the field of Turbine aircraft achieving a first at the USSM for his first appearance. His special focus is in the area of onboard cockpit authenticity employing robotics, digital displays and a HUD for the animatronic pilot. Jan is no stranger to RC Modeling having a background that exceeds 30 years. Dave himself has previously managed jet rally’s from the Fresno Radio Modelers early 2000 events to the more recent field design on the 2019 US National Scale Modelers Championship. With assistance from other notable Turbine Jet Pilots (Jim Chapman and Tom Messer) this will inevitably play into the success of this rally. Be prepared for a phenomenal event with Large Turbine Model Aircraft (LTMA-1) and speed with formation & High and Low G Maneuvers!

This event will be held at the CAM (Peg) field located adjacent to the Friant-Kern Canal. This is just below the north side of Campbell Mountain near Reedley, CA. A short 20 Minute drive from Clovis. Pit Area Layout

The image below reflects how the field and pit layouts will be setup. Focus is being given to pilots and vendors.

For 2023, the front west pits will have a permanent shade structure completed. The structure will be comparable to the one on the east side and will feature large 20′ x 26′ open bays. These bays will be partitioned into 10’x26′ rental spots. Rows 2 & 3 will be comprised of 20’x20′ tent rentals.

Pit Area Reservations of sectioned pit areas are now available on a first-come-first-reserve basis. Each permanent pit section offers a 10x26ft concrete pit floor, with solid metal shade and electrical connections . The limited spots are all front row and will be made available for $250 each.

20’x20′ Tent Area Reservations are also available – refer to the Pit Map as well.

A third row option exists but this is a Bring Your Own Tent and locations are based on first arrival and setup.

All options will have access to the center tarmac to roll large planes from pit to carpet to concrete to tarmac staging.

If you are using Chrome, Safari (iPhone), Edge, or Explorer Internet Browser(s), these may not automatically flush cached (stored) images and you may not be looking at the latest version of the Slot Reservations – click on the above Button to make sure you’re seeing the latest available slots.

Travel Trailers and RV’s are welcome at the field; pets are okay but must be leashed; unfortunately, due to potential limited trailer spacing, spots are reserved initially for Jet Rally pilots and vendors; after a cutoff 2 weeks prior to the event, remaining spots will be open to other attendee at a modest fee. At present, the fees for Travel-Trailer and RV parking for all attendees is set at $20 per space for the event duration. There are no hookups – dry camping only.
